Job description
System engineering can be seen as the 'steering wheel' in Thales Naval, expertly guiding our engineering and test teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for our customers. Our system architects are the maestros behind the scenes, orchestrating system architectures that allow for seamless future extensions and improvements.
As a System Architect you will work together with the system engineers in your team and also with multidisciplinary and self-organizing Agile/Scrum teams. You are a key communicator, who bridges the gap between customers representatives and their requirements, architects of other systems and the development teams.
You will be responsible to:
- Understand and analyze the customer needs
- Find the best solution and support the architecture definition to meet the customer requirements
- Align solutions of different systems across the F126 project
- Define components with allocated functionality in our modular architecture
- Bring state of the art expertise for your field of expertise, specialty or domain
- Depending on the aspect acquire deep understanding of a specific domain (Gun Fire Control, Missile Fire Control, complex scheduling strategies, simulations or the combat management system) and subsystems that are integrated
- Organize stakeholder meetings to align and decide
- Mentor of system engineers or junior system architects

Requirements

- Is graduated at Bachelor or Master level in the area of software engineering, information/computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar;
- Has several years of system engineering experience;
- Has preferably Dutch nationality.
