Job description
As a Senior Integration Analyst, you will document requirements and participate in solution design for complex system integrations. This role is focused on enabling seamless data and process flow between enterprise applications using middleware platforms and REST-based APIs. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical integration teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support scalable, reliable, and secure system integrations.
What you'll do:

Serve as the primary liaison between business teams, integration developers, architects, QA, and external vendors.

Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and backlog grooming related to integration initiatives.

Communicate complex technical integration concepts in clear business terms and vice versa.

Partner with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end business processes and integration needs across multiple systems.

Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for system integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions.

Define integration use cases, data flows, message formats, validation rules, and exception handling.

Ensure requirements align with enterprise integration standards, architectural principles, and security guidelines.

Collaborate with integration architects and developers on solutions using middleware platforms (e.g., iPaaS, ESB, message brokers).

Define REST API requirements including endpoints, payloads, error handling, authentication, and performance expectations.

Support API lifecycle activities such as versioning, backwards compatibility, and deprecation strategies.

Participate in API and integration design reviews to ensure business requirements are fully met.

Support agile or hybrid delivery teams by maintaining user stories, acceptance criteria, and integration test scenarios.

Assist with integration testing, data validation, and defect triage.

Support deployment readiness, post-implementation validation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements

6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with significant focus on system integrations.

Proven experience working with middleware platforms and RESTful APIs.

Strong understanding of integration concepts such as synchronous vs. asynchronous messaging, data transformation, and error handling.

Experience authoring API/interface requirements, data mappings, and sequence or flow diagrams.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Experience that would be great to have:

Experience with modern iPaaS or middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services, Kafka).

Knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).

Exposure to cloud-based architectures and microservices.

Prior experience in large-scale or enterprise integration programs.

Prior experience integrating financial systems such as core banking, lending, payments, or digital channels.

Knowledge of software project management methods as a participant.

Proven ability to operate under minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range:
$100,000.00-$135,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
