We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented Windows Systems Administrator. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi-disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods.
** This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. **
What YOU will do:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
- Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity.
- Test and validate disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Requirements
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- DoD SECRET security clearance is needed day one.

- Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to, and Windows servers and workstations.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Windows.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- And more!, The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
