Job description

  • Support the knowledge management team weekly meetings.
  • Provide Data Management for the collection, organization, storage, security, and analysis of data to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist with annual safe Inventory inspection reports
  • Manage the transfer and destruction of all records
  • Assists users in locating records and information using Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), online databases and other Internet resources.
  • Provides editing, copy editing, and proofreading of a variety of technical products to ensure alignment to security classification guides, DoD Style guide, Military standards, and distribution statement instructions.
  • Works to maintain personal contacts and cooperative work relationships in order to provide or exchange information.
  • Analyzes material to determine subject content.
  • Applies standard rules, guidelines, and reference tools and established techniques and practices.
  • Participates in formulating plans for changes and improvements to cataloging-related issues.
  • Attend Security and or Records Management meetings/training

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in business, science, or engineering
  • Well-versed in database design
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of DoD data management standards
  • Ability to acquire materials and/or create metadata for them.
  • Knowledge of metadata rules, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to use database applications, iPDM, and other information technology.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships and provide consultation and liaison services.
  • A natural aptitude for language and a keen eye for detail.
  • Skill in providing excellent customer service.
  • Skill in the use of technology devices and software applications to include Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skill in typing.
  • Skill in reading comprehension and basic math.
  • Skill in public speaking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Familiarity with common style guides; both industry and military standards and instructions.

Physical Demand: *

  • Frequent walking, standing, and moving between workstations in the machine shop environment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials or parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, and vibrations typical of a machine shop.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching to access materials or equipment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
