Job description
At Takeda Oranienburg, the Technical System Owner plays a vital role in operating and improving complex manufacturing & labs systems. Responsibilities vary depending on the assignment, but the Technical System Owner will primarily work with multiple local systems and supporting infrastructure.
This position requires both independent initiative and effective teamwork. The Technical System Owner supports daily operations, contributes to manufacturing & labs goals, and ensures all work meets quality, safety, and environmental standards
How you will contribute:
System management & maintenance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned technical systems
- Ensure systems run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to keep systems current and secure
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for systems within your area of expertise and act as a liaison to the business system owner
System optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and operational efficiency
- Implement changes and optimizations to enhance system functionality and user experience
- Monitor system performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure stable and effective operation
Tech foundation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements for new digital products
- Support the development and documentation of architecture for new digital products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
Risk management & compliance
- Identify and manage risks related to IT systems
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal requirements
In this position you will report to the Director Site DD&T
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, including 1+ years in system management or project leadership
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, integration, and digital product development
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, LIMS, CDS) is preferred
- Understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV), cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- German language skills at minimum B1 level
- Strong professional English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed environment
