Job description

Horizon Global Partners (HgP) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise Cisco network infrastructure supporting a Federal Government customer. The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical authority for enterprise networking, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across core, distribution, access, and perimeter environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
  • Support core, distribution, access, and edge network environments.
  • Implement Zero Trust Architecture, network segmentation, and micro-segmentation.
  • Configure Cisco routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Deploy and administer 802.1X Network Access Control.
  • Integrate network monitoring with SIEM and NDR platforms.
  • Perform vulnerability management, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support incident response.
  • Develop network diagrams, SOPs, configuration baselines, and documentation.
  • Support change management and compliance audits.

Requirements

Clearance: Active Public Trust preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust required., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of enterprise network engineering experience.

  • Minimum 5 years supporting Cisco enterprise environments.

  • Experience with Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, 802.1X, SIEM, and Zero Trust.

  • Experience supporting NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-207 environments.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Required Technical Skills Cisco Routing & Switching, Catalyst, Nexus, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Cisco Firewalls, 802.1X, Zero Trust, Network Segmentation, SIEM Integration, Network Monitoring, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Active Directory integration. Required Certification Active Cisco certification(s) required. Candidates must possess one or more current Cisco certifications relevant to enterprise networking. Expired certifications will not be considered. Preferred Certifications
