Job description
The Senior Data Center Engineer is expected to be able to:

Lead design and engineering of data center solutions and technical refresh initiatives.

Architect virtualization, storage, and compute solutions for high availability and scalability.

Provide Tier III/IV troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
-
Lead RMF activities, ATO support, and audit readiness.
-
Oversee STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and security architecture alignment.
-
Develop engineering documentation, diagrams, and implementation plans.
-
Advise government stakeholders on infrastructure strategy and modernization.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and automation initiatives., We are seeking a Senior Data Center Engineer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Data Center Engineer is the technical lead responsible for the architecture, design, optimization, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure in support of DIA CIS mission systems. They provide advanced engineeringexpertise, oversee complex integrations, and ensure full compliance with cybersecurity and operational requirements., + Work schedule: "Normal work hours" constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.

Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance

Bachelor's degree inInformation Technology,Engineering,or a related technical discipline

One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications:

CASP+/SecurityX

CISSP or equivalent
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in DoD or IC environments

IAM Level II (preferred)

VMware VCAP/VCDX

CCNP/CCIE

ITIL Foundation or higher

ITIL 4 Managing Professional (or intermediate ITIL certs)

Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or equivalent

PMP or CAPM

Data center hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, etc.)

Virtualization (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
-
Storage systems (SAN/NAS technologies)
-
Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)
-
Automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python - preferred)
-
Monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, vRealize, etc.)

Configuration management and patching systems, The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
