Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Consulting IT Procurement Specialist for a fast-paced services client in the private equity space. This individual will act as the primary procurement resource supporting a high-demand client environment, managing a high volume of IT vendor contracts and leading negotiations around software and services. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong foundation in IT sourcing, comfortable working independently while engaging directly with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving, less-regulated environment, can manage competing priorities, and brings a consultative mindset to vendor negotiations and cost optimization strategies.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of IT sourcing/procurement experience (software, SaaS, hardware, or IT services)
- Experience negotiating vendor contracts, including renewals and pricing models
- Understanding of software licensing models
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Experience supporting procurement processes end-to-end (RFPs, vendor selection, negotiations)
- Basic contract drafting and negotiation experience (with legal support as needed)
- Exposure to procurement tools and sourcing methodologies

- Experience supporting private equity clients
- Prior consulting or client-facing procurement experience
- Experience working in lean teams or as a standalone resource
- Exposure to global teams or offshore collaboration (e.g., India-based teams)
- Strong analytical skills around spend management and cost optimization
- Familiarity with IT categories including cloud, SaaS, and infrastructure
