Job description
Client is seeking a BlackLine System Administrator to serve as the global owner and SME for the BlackLine platform. This individual will support administration, configuration, governance, reporting, user support, training, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support BlackLine globally, including user access, configurations, workflows, and governance.
- Support Account Reconciliation, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry, and Task Management modules.
- Build and maintain match rules, approval workflows, dashboards, reporting, metrics, and controls.
- Train users, manage enhancement requests, and drive platform adoption.
- Partner with Finance and IT on upgrades, integrations, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that improve close and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with reconciliation policies, SOX controls, and financial governance requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of BlackLine, Trintech Cadency, or Oracle ARCS administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Journals, and Task Management.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial close, reconciliations, and SOX controls.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, match rules, workflows, and user provisioning.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business and leadership teams.
- Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, or equivalent experience.
Preferred
- BlackLine expertise strongly preferred.
- Insurance, financial services, or large enterprise experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting.
- Experience driving process improvement and automation initiatives.
