Job description
The Oracle Communications Cloud Application Server (OCCAS) SIP Developer designs, builds, and operates SIP-based applications within the OMNIChannel platform, focusing on session management, SIP routing, SIPREC recording flows, and integrations across SBCs, Amazon Connect, and AI-driven systems.
This role is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle delivery-from SIP application development through production operations-ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance of enterprise voice and recording platforms.
- Core Responsibilities
A. SIP Application Development (OCCAS)
Design, develop, and maintain OCCAS-based SIP applications
Session handling, routing logic, and dialog control
Implement features such as:
Header manipulation and normalization
Routing logic updates and dial plan control
Requirements
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with:
SIP protocol (RFC 3261 and related RFCs)
SIPREC standards and implementation
Expertise in:
Java / J2EE / SIP Servlets (OCCAS/WebLogic)
Deep understanding of:
Call flows, SDP, RTP media handling
SIP dialog/state management
Platform Experience
Proven experience with:
Oracle OCCAS (or equivalent SIP application server)
SBC platforms (Oracle, Audiocodes, Acme Packet, etc.)
Familiarity with:
Media Hub / recording architecture
Contact center platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Cisco UCCE)
DevOps & Cloud
Experience with:
CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
Infrastructure as code
Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Understanding of cloud platforms:
AWS preferred
Troubleshooting & Observability
Expertise using:
Wireshark / SIP traces / SIP ladder diagrams
Strong debugging skills in:
High-volume, real-time SIP environments
Experience with:
Logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:
Large-scale SIP platforms (multi-cluster OCCAS deployments ~100+ engines)
Knowledge of:
Telecom standards (3GPP, IMS)
Experience with:
AI/ML voice integrations (agent assist, analytics)
Familiarity with:
PCI / compliance-driven call recording environments
