Job description

Design, implementing, and maintain the development operations processes and infrastructure.

Collaborate closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure efficient and seamless software delivery, deployment, and monitoring and ongoing operational support.

Implement Cloud based solutions or COT's applications to meet business requirements. Requires a mix of Software engineering, Platform engineering and Cloud engineering technical ability and excellent communication skills to understand and share concepts covering the entire Toolchain associated with the product they are supporting throughout the SDLC.

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, automated, and secure deployment pipelines for applications and services. Designing integrations with other systems such as ServiceNow, continuous improvement of those designs to mature the integrations and to further automate the change and release processes.

Collaborate with development teams to improve the overall development lifecycle through automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Serve as a technical leader in the engineering, implementation, and configuration of cloud services solutions and COTS applications to ensure the implementation succeeds without production distruption and with improved speed to market.

Ensure system reliability and availability through robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to application deployment, performance, and scalability.

Requirements

Must have U.S. Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a DevOps Engineer, Application Developer, Cloud Engineer, Database Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, Quality Engineer, or closely related position involving development or operational work. The five (5) years of experience must include five (5) years of experience with each of the following:

  1. Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and advance infrastructure as code techniques.
  2. Database technologies including MySQL, PostGresSQL, Oracle
  3. Configuration management systems including puppet, Chef, CFEngine.
  4. Development methodologies and platforms including Cloud Services, Windows/Microsoft, Unix, SAP, SaaS, PaaS, API, Microservices, Reusable code libraries, laC.
  5. Continuous integration and deployment technologies, including Git, GitFlow, Azure DevOps.
  6. Performing measure and monitoring of IT systems.
  7. Experience with Virtualization, Cloud, Containers and automation tools including VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, Azure DevTest Labs

Telecommuting permissible, with collaborative work activities required on site 3 days per week.
