Job description
You will work in our Infrastructure Hosting Platform area influencing the strategy, engineering and development of Storage computing capabilities for On-premise and Cloud hosting. Additionally, you would be one of the senior Storage platform engineers working with the global storage product owner on the storage strategy for on-premises private cloud and public IaaS Storage services.
As part of our Storage leadership team will have the opportunity to improve our cloud Storage infrastructure service. Our goal is to improve all aspects of our infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, new architectural designs, and improvements in observability to prevent outages to help increase value across the organization. The role will also provide guidance and direction for our global Lilly SMEs and outsourced operations to execute the daily operations associated with this area.

Requirements
The Cloud and Connectivity organization is actively looking for a Storage Platform Engineer to join them. Do you like to solve challenges and have an interest in large scale impact? - Technical leadership developing new enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions and leading the deployment at multiple global locations.
- Familiarity with storage technologies including design and implementation of Geographically Dispersed setup
- Strong Hands-on experience performing troubleshooting and storage system administration with automated infrastructure availability and resiliency at enterprise scale up to the AI/ML frameworks
- Experience managing, optimizing, and upgrading backup environment and its schedules strategies with a focus on Dell backup solutions like Data Domain, PPDM and Avamar
- Knowledge and experience utilizing configuration management and automation tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Some proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Consistent track record of high quality, agile focused, team-based solution delivery.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across global and diverse teams.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
- 5+ years' experience as a Storage Engineer or Platform OS Engineer with storage experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading a global large-scale Infrastructure project.

Benefits & conditions
Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $64,500 - $158,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
