Job description
We are seeking a Platform Engineer to focus on the design, build, and evolution of a large enterprise Microsoft environment. This role supports a hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises and AWS EC2-based workloads, and is centered on strategic engineering rather than daily operational support. The position involves owning the Windows platform roadmap, driving automation, and operating effectively within a complex, process-heavy environment., * Take ownership of the Windows ecosystem, including Active Directory, Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), DFS, FTP, and MECM/SCCM.
- Manage the lifecycle of the platform, including patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and future-state roadmap development.
- Drive platform evolution across a hybrid infrastructure (on-premise and AWS).
- Design, build, and deliver infrastructure solutions with an automation-first mindset.
- Develop technical standards, test and evaluate technologies, and recommend vendor selections.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability and security.
Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of related work experience is required, including significant experience supporting Windows server and Virtualization Platforms. Experience with IaC / pipeline-driven deployments is necessary.
Technical Skills: Deep engineering experience with Microsoft Active Directory and a strong Windows infrastructure background are required. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is essential. Candidates should have exposure to AWS infrastructure (EC2-focused) and a working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) fundamentals.
Education: An undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an enterprise-scale environment.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or supporting Tier 2 teams.
- Familiarity with security principles and vulnerability remediation.
