Job description
Support end of line activities by managing the process interface with product and is responsible for the process design and implementation solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer.
Product Interface
· Interface with the design engineering regarding follow-up of the product conception: from the acquisition phase until SOP (+ 6 month) whenever necessary
· Ensure manufacturing process feasibility
· Circuit board and power inverter testing
· Program algorithms and end of line test equipment to ensure customer NVH and testing requirements are met.
Process design
· Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations
· Establish manufacturing routines
· Release manufacturing process documents
· RPN reduction initiatives
Process implementation
· Define production equipment specifications
· Training operators on robot interfaces, HMI screens, process build and tear down.
· Interface with controls engineering and maintenance as required
· Follow-up production equipment build
· Conduct equipment reception process
· Capitalize on lessons learned and provide best practices
· Time, frequency and order domain analysis experience with powertrain end of line test.
· Interpret NVH end of line test results and collaborate with cross function teams providing guidance towards root cause analysis.
Engineering change management
· Follow-up prototypes build
· Update manufacturing routines
· SMT software flash testing system
Continuous improvement
· Process productivity analysis
· Implement improvements action plans
· Manage production equipment performance
· Ensure full respect of EHS rules and regulations.
· Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
Requirements
Must have U.S. Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering field, plus three (3) years of experience in the offered position or a closely related position in a powertrain manufacturing environment.
All three (3) years of experience must include three (3) years of experience Managing dynamometer testing projects for OEM and supplier companies; Conducting and analyzing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) tests; writing dyno control scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy; and Programming algorithms.
Travel to various client sites as needed.
