Job description

  • Design, develop, and deploy applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2, ensuring high-quality and optimized performance.
  • Maintain and enhance online and batch processing systems, working with VSAM files and DB2 databases.
  • Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting batch failures and resolving data inconsistencies.
  • Manage batch job scheduling and monitoring using Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
  • Collaborate with distributed systems teams for seamless integration and support of CICS transaction flows.
  • Utilize code management tools for version control and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in release planning and code reviews.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in IBM Mainframe (z/OS) with strong skills in COBOL, DB2, and JCL.
  • Experience in production support environments, with a focus on troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in production environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Hogan Banking System and mainframe modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and automation scripting for batch improvements.
  • Proficiency in mentoring and leading technical discussions.
