Job description
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and enhance software solutions that support engineering quality and productivity across UKG. You will lead well-defined technical initiatives, partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, and help deliver scalable solutions that create measurable impact.
You will:

Lead implementation for software engineering initiatives, contributing to requirements gathering, technical design, development, and delivery.

Design and develop applications, integrations, and reporting solutions that improve software quality, testing visibility, and engineering productivity.

Partner with engineering teams and leadership to translate business objectives into practical technical solutions.

Build and maintain REST-based services, user interfaces, and data solutions that support internal engineering workflows.

Share technical guidance with teammates and partner teams while promoting software quality and testing best practices.

Requirements

Ability to lead implementation for software engineering initiatives, including contributing to discovery, technical design, development, testing, and delivery.

Hands-on background designing and building software applications, REST API integrations, and data-backed services.

Proficiency with modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar technologies.

Ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements and business impact into scalable software solutions.
Preferred Qualifications

Background building internal developer platforms, engineering productivity tools, dashboards, reporting applications, or integrations between internal systems.

Knowledge of quality engineering practices, including automated testing, code quality analysis, test reporting, and test coverage strategies.

Exposure to performance testing tools and strategies using k6, Gatling, JMeter, Lighthouse, LoadRunner Enterprise, or similar technologies.

Familiarity with React, NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Google Cloud Platform, continuous integration pipelines, or similar technologies.
Benefits & conditions
The pay range for this position is $102,300 to $147,050. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
