Job description

As a Sr. System Analyst, you will play a key role on a small, collaborative team supporting NVR's Mortgage and Settlement platforms. You will leverage your expertise in third party software application configurations to develop and maintain system logic, integrations, analytics, and essential processes across loan origination and closing operations. Additionally, you will provide technical support to Mortgage and Settlement users and contribute to enhancing functionality and streamlining processes to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for a third-party applications for Loan Origination (LOS) and Mortgage Settlement, including user permissions and application configurations.

  • Customize the applications to support business processes, regulatory requirements, and internal controls, including custom fields, calculations, workflows, business rules and conditional logic.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application production issues, data discrepancies, automation, file transfers and system defects in collaboration with IT and software vendor support teams.

  • Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of configuration changes across non-production and production environments.

  • Participate in software vendor upgrades, patches, and major releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL scripts, views, stored procedures, and user interfaces supporting mortgage and settlement loan data.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the mortgage and settlement applications, advising business partners on system capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries by providing system documentation and evidence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a technical role supporting Mortgage and Settlement third party vendor applications. (Encompass and/or Softpro applications preferred)

  • Experience with development using Visual Basic and JavaScript is preferred but not required.

  • Expertise in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL stored procedures specifically using Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Experience configuring and maintaining data exports for integration with third-party systems and vendors.

  • Familiarity with mortgage and settlement business processes.

  • Experience working effectively within small teams, adapting to shifting priorities, and taking on a wide range of tasks as needed.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
