Job description

Ahlstrom Filtration LLC seeks a Technical Customer Service Engineer in Madisonville, KY to ensure all product specifications are up-to-date and in compliance with customer requirements in the glass veil and roll goods manufacturing sector. Provide support to the sales team by supplying customers with Technical Data Sheets (TDS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and chemical regulatory statements. Input all WEBs (product codes) into the system and ensure proper formulation/recipes. Perform analysis and testing of customer-rejected glass veil and follows up on implemental solutions. Oversee trial plan by keeping list of product grades and customers updated and schedule trials according to machine availability and capability. Align with customer requirement standards and provide necessary tools for quality control. Provide technical support to customers via email, phone calls, or on-site visits. Responsible for product approvals through issuance of PPAP's Control Plans, FMEA's and customer specific requirements. Ensure consistent application of quality techniques in plant operations. Responsible for laboratory equipment and procedures including gage R&R's, calibration, and replacement. Work on claim resolution between sales force and with customers. Utilize CarelMill, CareLab, Orderplan, 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis. May travel to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Requirements

2 years of Chemical Engineering experience

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Degree, Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering plus 2 years of chemical engineering experience with:

  1. CarelMill/CarelLab or commercially equivalent production and quality management software;

  2. Orderplan or commercially equivalent supply chain software;

  3. Machine processes for manufacturing industry;

  4. ISO 9001 Quality Management System,

  5. FDA standards for product property measurements and customer product requirements;

  6. 5 Why and Lean/6 Sigma root cause analysis problem solving tools; and

  7. Paper and roll goods manufacturing sector.
