Job description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support our client. This role focuses on backend and API development, supporting a critical digital platform using Java, Oracle, and AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to large initiatives and smaller enhancements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment across distributed teams., * Perform technical and functional analysis to determine optimal delivery approaches based on requirements.
- Design and develop backend and API services using Java, Spring, JDBC, and related frameworks.
- Develop complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, functions, and stored procedures to support processing workflows.
- Implement unit and functional tests, and support integration, acceptance, and production validation.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tooling.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native components using Docker, EKS, and AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, and Lambda.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and status updates.
- Provide application support, diagnose issues, and resolve incidents including on-call participation and release validation.
Requirements

- Proficiency in object-oriented design, Java/J2EE, multithreading, concurrency, and design patterns on Unix and Windows.
- Expertise with Spring framework, JDBC, and asynchronous application development.
- 5+ years of complex Oracle PL/SQL development on Oracle 12, including shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience building and operating cloud applications with Docker, EKS, and AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda).
- Familiarity with FIS Global One, SB Client, and UniData.
- Strong communication, initiative, and ability to operate in a matrixed agile environment.
- Experience with relational database design and analysis.
Education Requirements:
- BS in a technology-related field.
