At CVS Health, we are modernizing the Clinical Authorization System (CAS) into a scalable, cloud-ready, API-first platform. We are seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer with strong .NET backend and Angular frontend expertise to build and enhance modern, full-stack solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering high-quality software, driving modernization, and supporting scalable UI/UX experiences and backend services.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, UX, QA, DevSecOps, and SRE teams to deliver secure, performant, and reliable solutions aligned to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development (.NET + Angular)

Design and develop full-stack applications using:

.NET / .NET Core (backend services, APIs)

Angular (UI/UX layer)

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices supporting CAS workflows
Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with:
-
.NET / .NET Core (C#)
-
Angular (modern Angular versions preferred)
-
Experience building full-stack applications (UI + APIs + services)

Solid understanding of API design, system design, and distributed systems fundamentals

Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server preferred)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills (UI + backend)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience modernizing legacy systems into microservices or cloud-native architectures

Familiarity with event-driven architecture, DDD, and API governance
-
Experience with Azure and/or GCP cloud platforms
-
Exposure to DevSecOps practices, observability, and monitoring tools

Experience with AI/ML or Generative AI integrations

Experience in healthcare/pharmacy or regulated environments (HIPAA/PHI)
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required)

Master's degree (preferred)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $185,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
