As our Principal HRIS Workday Analyst, you will partner with a global HRIS organization to lead and advance our Workday Workforce Management ecosystem. This role is fully Workday-focused, with primary ownership of Workday Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Workforce Scheduling, supporting a complex, global environment.
You will serve as a senior subject matter expert, collaborating with fellow analysts and cross-functional partners to design, implement, optimize, and support Workday solutions that enable accurate time, attendance, and absence processing while simplifying business processes and enhancing the employee experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to work on-site 3 days/week at our Bloomington, MN office.
Role Responsibilities:
Serve as a principal-level subject matter expert for Workday Workforce Management, including Workday Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Workforce Scheduling
Lead requirements gathering, configuration, deployment, and ongoing optimization of Workday time, attendance, and absence processes
Design, build, and maintain complex time calculations, calculation tags, condition rules, work schedule calendars, and time entry templates
Analyze existing configuration to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support new Time Tracking and Absence rollouts
Design and develop advanced Workday reports using Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and multi-object reporting
Configure and maintain Workday business process frameworks, organizations, workflows, and security roles to automate and streamline HR operations
Troubleshoot HRIS issues, identify root causes, and drive timely resolution
Own the ongoing configuration, audit, and deployment of Workday Workforce Management modules
Create and maintain clear technical and functional documentation, including configuration and process design
Partner on integrations by understanding setup, testing, and downstream impacts
Participate in Workday releases, feature deployments, and new module implementations
Develop audit controls and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and adherence to SOX and audit standards
Act as a point of contact for internal and external audits related to Workday configuration and data access, Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Requirements
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience
3+ years of implementation and configuration experience in Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management (Workday Workforce Management)
1+ year of experience with Workday Core HCM
2+ years of advanced Workday reporting experience
Strong verbal and written skills required, with the ability to effectively lead training sessions, facilitate discussions, and explain complex concept to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Workday in large, global, and highly complex organizations
Demonstrated success improving operational processes and driving system efficiency
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues in ambiguous situations
Strong customer service mindset with a focus on delivering an excellent employee experience
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Experience prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Bachelor Degree
Benefits & conditions
Annual Salary Range: $103,300 - $134,200. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
