Job description

We are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join our team in Dundee. The role will involve designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based systems, APIs, and internal IT infrastructure. You will work with Microsoft Azure, real-time data messaging, and TypeScript-based platforms to deliver robust and secure solutions that integrate with our tachograph-focused products and services.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Kubernetes?, Experience with Microsoft Azure services (IoT Hub, Functions, Storage, SQL, security)

  • Practical knowledge of MQTT and real-time messaging
  • Proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js for backend services
  • Solid grounding in API design and REST integration
  • Good understanding of IT security, authentication, and identity management

  • Knowledge of PHP for legacy system support
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with fleet or tachograph data models (optional background knowledge) We are looking for someone who:
  • Can translate requirements into practical cloud solutions
  • Enjoys mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Is a pragmatic problem-solver, balancing short-term needs with long-term architecture

We are looking for candidates who not only possess the required technical skills and experience, but who also share our core values. We are after individuals who exhibit team spirit - working collaboratively and contribute to collective success. We seek people who consistently do the right thing, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and sound judgement in their daily work. Having a future-focused mindset is important, along with a willingness to embrace change, drive innovation, and continuously improve. Above all - as a very customer orientated company - we want people who always consider the needs of our customers in their actions and decisions, and who strive to delight them
