Job description
You'll be joining a leading, globally recognised financial services organisation with a strong focus on security architecture, innovation, and emerging technologies. The business is investing heavily in AI and secure design, with a dedicated Security Architecture Design team responsible for defining and embedding best-in-class security patterns across the organisation. Your new role As a Lead Security Design Architect, you'll play a key role within a small, high-impact team of four, contributing to the evolution of secure design across the business. A key focus will be on enhancing existing secure design patterns and developing new AI-focused security patterns, leveraging an established AI Secure Reference Architecture. You'll help define what 'good' looks like for secure AI adoption, updating standards and driving consistency across programmes.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Security Architect / Security Design Architect, or an engineer who has transitioned into architecture
- Proven experience in threat modelling and secure design pattern development
- Experience designing and applying security controls across cloud and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices (OWASP, NIST, CIS, etc.)
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams in fast-paced delivery environments
- Familiarity with common developer tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, Terraform, YAML/Markdown)
- Exposure to AI security or a strong interest in space
