Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing technology team in London. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
• Administer virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Support cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Maintain networking components including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with security, development, and service desk teams on infrastructure projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * Experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or virtualisation technologies.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and identity management.
• Knowledge of backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash is desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, AWS, or Azure certifications.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Exposure to monitoring tools and ITIL-based environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
