Join BT's Network Cloud team and play a key role in protecting critical national infrastructure.
As a Security, Identity & Access Manager, you'll lead the delivery of secure access controls across complex cloud platforms, ensuring services remain resilient, compliant, and secure. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team leadership to shape how identity and privileged access is managed at scale.
This role requires 3 days in office & can be based in either Manchester or Ipswich
SC Clearance eligibility is required
What you'll be doing
- Lead the delivery of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) across Network Cloud
- Provide day-to-day leadership to a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on technically
- Design and implement secure access controls across platforms (Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes)
- Own and operate privileged access solutions (e.g. CyberArk)
- Enforce least privilege, RBAC, and secure authentication (SSO, MFA)
- Drive automation of account lifecycle management using tooling and pipelines
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. TSA)
- Support audit and risk management activities, including resolving findings
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and vendor teams to improve secure-by-design practices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Proven ability to lead delivery and support a technical team
- Strong experience in IAM and/or PAM (e.g. CyberArk)
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems and access controls
- Experience working in cloud or large-scale infrastructure environments
- Understanding of security standards, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Experience in automation and scripting (e.g. Python, Terraform, Ansible)
- SC Clearance eligibility
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience in Network Cloud or telecoms environments
- Knowledge of TSA or regulated infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
- Exposure to network security or DDoS platforms
