Job description

To improve the quality, consistency, and usability of data across TPR by combining data analysis expertise with business analysis capability. The role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data requirements are clearly defined and aligned to organisational objectives., * Data Quality Management: Assess, monitor and improve data quality; perform data profiling; define metrics; support root cause analysis.

  • Data Requirements & Business Analysis: Gather, document and validate requirements; produce data specifications (e.g. TDS - Technical Data Specification).

  • Business Engagement: Identify critical data; map data journeys; understand business processes.

  • Data Standards & Governance: Support standards, rules, metadata and governance processes; align with data owners and stewards.

  • Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to projects; align requirements with delivery teams; drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration: Work with BAs, engineers and data teams to translate requirements into deliverable solutions.

Key Accountabilities: Delivery of high-quality data requirements; measurable improvements in data quality; effective stakeholder engagement; adoption of data standards; clear documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong data analysis and profiling capability
  • Requirements elicitation and documentation
  • Understanding of data lifecycle and governance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with TDS (Technical Data Specification) or similar artefacts
  • Knowledge of DAMA frameworks
  • Experience in regulatory or transformation environments
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or data tools

Problem Solving

  • Working with different roles and teams to understand information within systems and information in the business context
  • Identifying and communicating evidence or patterns of non-compliance with best practice, policy or legislation
  • Prioritising workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Identifying data or information risks and escalating to senior members of the team where appropriate.
