Job description
We are looking for Software Engineers with strong Java expertise who are passionate about building high-quality, scalable applications. The ideal candidate has solid experience in APIs, modern software architecture (microservices/event-driven), and embraces DevOps ownership. You should be comfortable working in Agile environments and eager to contribute to innovation within a global financial services project. Main tasks and accountabilities will be: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software Take end-to-end ownership of applications following a DevOps model ("you build it, you run it") Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and also work independently Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including QA activities and peer reviews Align development work with product vision and business goals Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within your team and technical domain
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test-driven development?, Strong Java programming skills and experience building APIs (REST) Deep understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and SOLID principles Hands-on experience with testing (Unit, API, Acceptance, Load testing) Experience with distributed systems (SOA, microservices) and event-driven architectures Familiarity with build tools (Gradle or Maven) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins) Experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) Knowledge of AWS services (mandatory for senior profiles, optional for mid-level)
Nice to have: Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking, fintech) Knowledge of Docker and containerization AWS certifications and serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate) Experience with TDD and BDD practices
