Job description

  • Participation in the development/testing and enhancement of specific product designs and the creation of process FMEAs (failure mode and effects analysis).
  • Performing visual and physical inspections of development samples, production samples and stock.
  • Creation of product inspection reports.
  • Providing our factories with approvals or rejections based on the evaluation of inspection results.
  • The control of and use of measuring equipment on site.
  • Technical support and 'know-how' to other departments and customers.
  • Inspection and diagnosis of failure samples assisting the Warranty department

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of automotive parts and their function components:

  • Confidence to communicate and deal with people at all levels

  • IT knowledge including Microsoft, Word, and Excel

  • Technical Report writing

  • Ability to use inspection measuring equipment

  • Qualification within engineering or motor vehicles Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a quality control environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • This role would suit a Vehicle technician or an Automotive Engineer

  • Worked within a quality inspection environment
