Job description

Our client, a technology solutions provider, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Littleton, MA. This newly created position was designed to support the continued expansion of the company's proprietary automation platform and help improve efficiency across global operations. The role will focus heavily on designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions within Linux environments using Python and Bash scripting. These solutions support server provisioning, deployment, validation, and production workflows across global sites, including automation initiatives involving physical hardware and infrastructure environments. While Linux administration experience is valuable,_ the primary focus of this role is developing automation solutions rather than supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations._ The strongest candidates will have hands-on experience building automation using Python and Bash and will be comfortable developing scalable, reusable solutions rather than primarily supporting existing infrastructure environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Linux and automation experience who enjoys building new frameworks, improving processes, and helping shape scalable automation practices. The Director of Engineering places a strong emphasis on collaboration, flexibility, and continuous improvement, and is looking for someone who enjoys building things from the ground up while helping shape the long-term direction of the automation environment.
