As Cerebral Staffing, we are looking for a visionary, technical Product Manager (Electrical & Embedded Software Engineering) to join our team supporting our client, John Deere. If you are a collaborative leader who thrives on translating complex customer needs into next-generation embedded software and electrical architectures, we want to hear from you., * Product Vision & Roadmap Execution: Define, maintain, and execute the product lifecycle roadmap for electrical components and embedded software systems, aligning engineering sprint cycles with enterprise strategic goals.
- Requirements Architecture: Translate complex user experiences and agronomic or industrial customer pain points into actionable, well-documented technical requirements for embedded software and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the ultimate technical bridge between core systems engineering teams, software developers, UI/UX designers, marketing specialists, and production operations.
- Agile Lifecycle Management: Prioritize feature backlogs, manage risk mitigation vectors for hardware/software dependency chains, and participate in formal milestone and engineering design reviews.
- Value & Feature Optimization: Evaluate technological trends, benchmark product metrics, and validate system integrations to optimize product value, software scalability, and total system reliability.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technology management?, * Technical Product Management: Proven track record of managing technology products, specifically handling embedded systems, software applications, or complex electrical architectures.
- Engineering Background: Direct experience working closely alongside software development teams, embedded systems engineers, or electronic hardware designers.
- Agile Framework Command: Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, backlog grooming, and standard requirement tracking software.
- Communication Master: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence without authority and present intricate technical concepts clearly to non-technical leadership.
- Education Foundations: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent related professional work experience.

- Life insurance, Product Manager - Electrical & Embedded Software (E&E) Engineering This is a high-visibility, strategic 2+ year contract opportunity paying up to $80/hr, including 2 weeks of PTO. Operating fully onsite, this position can be based out of any of the following premiere John Deere technology hubs: Waterloo Product Engineering Center (Cedar Falls, IA), ISG (Urbandale, IA), or the Southwest Office Building (Moline, IL). You will act as the core product champion driving the definition, life cycle management, and integration of embedded software stacks and electronic hardware infrastructure across the product portfolio.
Position Details & Compensation
- Pay Rate: Up to $80/hr (W2).
- Location Options: 100% Onsite at your choice of three target facilities: Cedar Falls, IA; Urbandale, IA; or Moline, IL.
- Duration: 2+ Years (Extremely stable, multi-year assignment).
- Shift & Hours: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
- Dress Code: Business Casual.
- Travel: Infrequent regional travel to other John Deere facilities within a 200-mile radius for collaborative meetings (Personal vehicle can be used, or a corporate rental car can be booked).
