Job description
Within Amazon, IT exists to accelerate development and enable scaled manufacturing. You will be working to establish a departmental IT team from the ground up, supporting growth of an industrial robotics business unit. As a TPM, you will lead complex cross-functional IT-related programs, delivering results for our business stakeholders.
- Lead multiple, complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously from initiation through delivery.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and communicate status across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Make smart tradeoffs in system design and execution, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
- Create mechanisms to drive timely, accurate, and comprehensive project execution. Create clarity, eliminate obstacles and drive issue resolution to ensure deliverables & timelines are met.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery mechanisms improve over time.
A day in the life Initial projects might include:
- IT interface with construction management for new facility construction.
- Delivery of new COTS software tooling (CAD, PLM, ERP, more) to support the organization.
- Setup of fundamental Amazon services (ticketing, etc) for org-wide scaled use.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Stakeholder management?, * 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules, * 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
