Job Summary The Mainframe Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications within an Agile software development environment. This role focuses on requirements gathering, process analysis, end-to-end system documentation, solution design support, testing coordination, production readiness, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with Agile methodologies, and expertise in mainframe application lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities Lead requirements gathering and use case elicitation for mainframe application initiatives. Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to define system requirements. Create and maintain end-to-end (E2E) process flow documentation for current and future system processes. Develop, review, and socialize business and technical requirements documentation. Provide input into end-to-end solution design and system architecture discussions. Support the development of test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases. Assist with defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution during testing and implementation. Support production validation planning and deployment readiness activities. Develop and maintain operational and business process documentation for cross-functional teams. Collaborate with business, development, testing, and operations teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Identify, document, manage, and communicate project risks and issues. Ensure requirements, process documentation, and deliverables align with business objectives and project timelines. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Required Qualifications Experience supporting mainframe application development and analysis. Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements. Strong experience with use case development and process flow documentation. Experience creating end-to-end business and technical process documentation. Understanding of Agile software development methodologies. Experience supporting solution design, testing strategies, and deployment activities. Experience analyzing and resolving application defects. Experience supporting production validation and deployment readiness. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders. Experience identifying and managing project risks and issues. Education: Bachelors Degree
