Job description

Schedule: Pflugerville is 4 days per week 10 hours per day (Mon-Thurs). Round Rock and Georgetown are Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. Background check required

The Field Deployment Technician supports technology refresh and deployment projects by imaging, configuring, deploying, and recovering IT equipment. This role ensures accurate asset tracking, successful device installations, and proper equipment disposition while providing excellent customer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Image, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, All-in-One PCs, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Unpack, inspect, stage, and prepare new equipment for deployment.
  • Apply asset tags and maintain accurate inventory and deployment records.
  • Configure wireless connectivity, network printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform cable management and workstation setup to ensure clean and organized installations.
  • Move equipment between staging areas, classrooms, offices, and labs.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, printer, and network connectivity issues.
  • Collect, inventory, and prepare retired equipment for asset recovery and recycling.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, * Experience with PC deployments, imaging, hardware installations, asset tagging, or inventory management.

  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, wireless connectivity, and printer configuration.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with large-scale PC refresh and deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, ServiceNow, and ticketing systems.
  • Experience supporting K-12, higher education, or enterprise IT environments.
