Cisco Network Engineer

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco switching (Catalyst platforms, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, routing, QoS, and high availability).
• Extensive experience with Cisco wireless infrastructure, including legacy Cisco 5520 Wireless LAN Controllers.
• Strong wireless design, validation, and troubleshooting skills using Ekahau.
• Experience performing predictive designs, active/passive site surveys, and post-deployment optimization.
• Deep understanding of RF fundamentals, channel planning, coverage, capacity, roaming, and interference mitigation.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X authentication, and enterprise wireless security is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 and wireless issues in production environments.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification (required); CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or Wireless is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience migrating from Cisco AireOS (5520 WLCs) to Catalyst 9800 controllers.
• Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center and Catalyst 9000 switching.
• Experience with large campus wireless deployments.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.
• Strong documentation and customer-facing communication skills.
