Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our Information Technology Solutions team. This role is key in ensuring that our hybrid cloud and on-premise systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently in support of our mission to provide quality, culturally sensitive healthcare to the American Indian community., * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements for new systems or enhancements.
- Analyze business workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvements in system efficiency.
- Design system architecture to meet organizational needs, acquire necessary hardware and software, lead installation efforts, and ensure ongoing system maintenance, updates, and compliance with internal security policies.
- Design and document system architecture, including functional and technical requirements.
- Acquire necessary hardware/software, lead installations, and ensure compliance with internal security policies.
- Manage integration of on-premise and cloud-based systems (e.g., Active Directory with Azure AD).
- Lead project teams in deploying new systems, coordinating with vendors and internal departments.
- Assist in the migration of on-premise systems to cloud-based infrastructure where applicable, ensuring secure and efficient integration with existing systems.
- Develop and execute system testing plans to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs.
- Ensure system uptime of 99.999% through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Apply 95% of security patches within 10 days of release using automated patch management tools.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Electronic Health Record servers.
- Manage and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems (e.g., Veeam, Datto, and tape-based systems).
- Perform and document monthly backup test restores for both local, tape, and replicated data.
- Assist in developing and testing disaster recovery plans, ensuring recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) are met and documented.
- Support endpoint and mobile device management platforms (e.g., Google MDM, Intune).
- Manage new employee IT onboarding, including accounts, email, badge access, and permissions.
- Manage user identity lifecycle, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and role-based access controls.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, system changes, and asset inventory. Work with the Network Administrator as needed to develop and maintain accurate network diagrams.
- Participate in the ITS Change Management process by submitting, reviewing, and implementing approved changes.
- Monitor system capacity and assist in planning hardware/software refresh cycles.
- Train end-users and provide technical support for system use.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, recommending relevant improvements.
- Perform regular audits, apply system updates, and implement advanced security tools.
- Assist in incident response activities related to security events.
- Ensure all systems comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and internal security protocols.
- Monitor data center environmental conditions and coordinate with Facilities or vendors as needed.
- Support endpoint encryption and DLP policies (e.g., BitLocker) to ensure data security.
Requirements

- Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of additional experience for each year of required education, and 7 years of experience
- Preferred Experience: Multi-campus or healthcare environment
- Preferred Tools & Platforms: Microsoft Azure & Office 365, Google Workspace, Veeam Backup & Replication, PowerShell scripting, Fortinet VPN, DUO MFA, SentinelOne Endpoint Protection, NinjaOne or equivalent ITSM platform
- Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Veeam Certified Engineer, Google Cloud Engineer or equivalent
