Here are a few of the projects you can expect to work on out of the gate:
- Navigate ticket application to organize and prioritize daily service requests
- Assist in performing correct, timely network installations and removals, including running Ethernet cables in meeting rooms and on exhibition floors
- Configure wireless access points that are fixed as well as mobile, and perform bandwidth throttling to VLANs on custom networks
- Assist clients with troubleshooting issues and or additional requests, and assist other Network Technicians with any day-to-day issues that may arise
- Repair issues with wall jacks or known issues in the infrastructure and assist with any fiber maintenance
- Assist with repairs, upgrades and content changes to managed digital signage
- Able to work on a scissor lift 30-40 feet high when needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Serving clients?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, So, are you looking to gain valuable network services experience in the hospitality industry and are passionate about helping customers solve business problems by providing practical results-driven technology solutions? To be successful in our unique environment, you must be detail-oriented, engaging, organized and enjoy what you do. You also need to be practical, perceptive, considerate, and work well with others, including team members and customers - especially in pressure situations. We love team players that take pride in their work; we hate narcissists.
You need to be dependable, have fantastic customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills, and be willing to work a flexible schedule - including last minute changes, weekends are a must. You also need to be self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision, have basic knowledge of structure cabling, fiber optics and network repair, and be familiar with the use of Cisco commands and Cisco WLC. One year's experience in customer support in the hospitality industry (or equivalent high-volume, fast-paced environment) is a plus. Infrastructure certification for low voltage is a plus, as is certification for fiber optics and network certification (CompTIA or Cisco). A high-school diploma or equivalent is a must., * Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
