Work Schedule: Mon- Sun 40 hrs/week (All individuals assigned to the ORC are required to flex their schedules to staff the center for regular 7-day week operations and during peak times (not including major holidays). This includes covering weekend shifts and evening shifts on rotation with the team and depending on current trends. Alternate work schedules to cover these shifts regularly will also be considered.) These positions serve as the primary data/intelligence/operation analysts for the Overdose Response Center (ORC). The Overdose Response Center is the division's near-real-time data analytics and deployment/operations center for responding to the opioid/overdose crisis statewide. Outreach and partner teams are deployed by the ORC 7-days a week to engage and support communities through targeted outreach at the neighborhood level, and ultimately with specific individuals. Additionally, deployment plans are made with partner agencies and other community deployable assets.
- Management and maintenance of incoming data sources/streams across various platforms
- Correlation and analysis of all available data sources to determine hot spots, priorities, and strategic responses to near-real-time data
- Review, analysis, and identification of individuals, programs, new sources, and potential partners for related data/intelligence and outreach efforts
- Obtaining and translating all available data and intelligence to create the most comprehensive statewide operating picture, and using geospatial mapping tools (including ArcGIS) to create and inform daily/weekly/monthly outreach planning and data trend reviews
- Investigating and conducting exploratory analysis based on known data/intelligence. Ensuring appropriate data security and confidentiality for all data and intelligence within the ORC, and enforcing data security protocols to prevent leaks of unauthorized information outside of the ORC
- Creating visualizations of historic, current, and trending patterns for ORC leadership. Researching and analyzing information for, and drafting ORC publications (including bulletins, reports, alerts, awareness messages, etc) for varying audiences
- Other duties as assigned to assist PORT and/or ORC operations
