Job description

  • Running and terminating structured cabling (CAT6, RG6, fiber, and more)
  • Installing and configuring residential and commercial automation systems, including lighting, shading, security, network, and AV solutions
  • Setting up and programming whole-home and commercial audio/video distribution systems
  • Testing, certifying, and troubleshooting network and AV connections

Project Execution & Communication:

  • Reading and interpreting floor plans, elevations, and wiring schematics
  • Collaborating with project managers, lead technicians, and designers to ensure smooth execution of installations
  • Proactively identifying challenges and proposing solutions to keep projects on track
  • Keeping detailed records of parts used, material tracking, and project updates

Ownership & Professionalism:

  • Maintaining a clean, organized job site and protecting customer property at all times
  • Managing van inventory and ensuring work vehicles are well-stocked and operational
  • Keeping up with firmware updates, documentation, and maintenance for installed systems
  • Taking responsibility for the success of your work and going the extra mile to deliver perfection

Requirements

Do you have experience in Project reporting?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Did you take apart remotes and radios as a kid-just to see how they worked? Are you the go-to person for troubleshooting tech problems, setting up killer AV systems, or finding creative solutions where others see dead ends? Do you thrive on pushing the boundaries of what's possible with smart home and commercial technology?, * Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record

  • 06 Trainee/Apprentice License (minimum) to start
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial low-voltage wiring techniques
  • Experience with reading technical schematics and construction plans
  • Ability to track materials, document progress, and report project status clearly
  • Math competency (Algebra-level) for calculating power loads, wire usage, etc.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Journeyman or Admin 06 or 02 Electrical License (Huge Plus!)
  • Certifications or expertise in: Crestron, Lutron, Control4, OvrC, D-Tools, or similar integration platforms
  • High-end home theater design, video walls, or multi-zone audio systems
  • Advanced network configuration, WiFi optimization, and security deployment
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for both new builds and retrofits, * Home Technology: 2 years (Preferred)
