Job description

Assists in translating the client's and user's information needs into technical solutions maximizing the use of technology while ensuring clear business benefits. Performs complex data analyses on large data files containing clinical and financial data. Supports designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business solutions to optimize analytical processes and outcomes. Aids in the development of streamlined techniques for providing timely information resulting in improved client offerings and business development. Independently interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining and statistical analysis. Works with clients, internal and external consultants, and project and business leaders to identify analytical requirements., Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information needs and efficiency opportunities then creates, via technology-based applications, the reports, interfaces, and processes necessary to supply those needs and produce those efficiencies based on business needs and direction of clients and management.

Oversees the quality and consistency of data gathering, transforming, reporting, and analysis.

Support and manage respective data in multiple databases

Support and manage:

Dashboards created as a product of Healthcare Advisory Services offerings

Programs to automate the production of solutions for scalability

Analysis templates

Supports the processes, tools, security, and quality around client projects and business information systems.

Maintain scalable user-friendly solutions and other processes using:

Relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server

ETL processes with SSIS

Tableau

VBA, python, or other programming language

Statistics using JMP, R, Anaconda, or other statistical analysis programs and packages

Data architecture knowledge

Healthcare software and data knowledge

Interaction with clients through conference calls, web conferencing, and offsite or onsite meetings

Actively seeks opportunities to advance their software knowledge, data manipulation, and understanding of the healthcare industry.

Selection of and travel to meaningful conferences to advance skills in analytics and knowledge in healthcare software and data complexities.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Authorized to Work: Must be a citizen of the United States or authorized to work in the United States.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Database software proficiency?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound., Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field Or Associates degree and 2 years of applicable work experience
  • One year SQL experience in one or more database management programs (Microsoft, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced experience in Excel to include Pivot tables, add-ins, and function library familiarity

Preferred

  • One year data integration experience (ETL)
  • One year experience in programming language such as VBA or python
  • One year experience in data presentation (Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS)
  • Experience in healthcare and expertise in the related variety of IT applications, concepts, practices, and procedures. (Epic, Cerner)
  • Experience in using statistics to solve business problems using JMP, R, Anaconda, or other software, Required
  • Associates Degree or better in Computer Science or related field

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
