Job description

Join our dynamic team as an Information Technology Managed Services and Operational Support specialist, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless business operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, manage complex systems, and deliver exceptional technical support across diverse environments. Your expertise will drive efficiency, security, and innovation within our organization, empowering teams to achieve their goals with confidence., The selected vendor is expected to provide on and off site IT and operational support to the Transportation Council, which has up to fourteen (14) full time staff. The selected vendor will deliver 24/7 monitoring, preventative maintenance, "help desk" (or similar) support, cybersecurity, strategic IT consulting, infrastructure management, and day to day operational support.

In addition, the vendor is expected to be available on-site for a minimum of ten (10) hours per week to provide direct support to the Transportation Council's staff., * Provide comprehensive technical support for enterprise IT systems, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

  • Manage and monitor IT infrastructure components like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux systems, and network hardware including Cisco routers and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of firewalls, network security measures, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data.
  • Utilize IT service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira to track incidents, manage workflows, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Lead projects related to system upgrades, migrations, or new implementations while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular analysis of system performance metrics using SolarWinds and other monitoring tools to optimize network reliability and security.
  • Supervise junior team members in daily operations, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and best practices in IT governance.
