Job description
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Security and Network Systems Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic security systems, including access control systems, door hardware, and IP video surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will also possess basic networking knowledge to support IP-based security devices and networking equipment., * Install and service access control systems, including:
- Card readers
- Electric strikes and magnetic locks
- Door controllers
- Request-to-exit devices
- Keypads and credential readers
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP video surveillance systems, including:
- IP cameras
- Network video recorders (NVRs)
- Video management software
- Enterprise network switches and routers
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling, including:
- Cat5e/Cat6
- Door and control wiring
- Fiber optic cabling
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Document installations, service calls, and system changes.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Low-voltage system cabling?, * Experience with electronic access control and/or video surveillance systems.
- Knowledge of low-voltage cabling standards and installation practices.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Basic networking knowledge, including:
- IP addressing and subnetting
- MAC addresses
- VLANs
- DHCP and DNS
- Enterprise networking equipment (switches, routers, wireless access points)
- Basic switch configuration
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Access control platforms such as:
- LenelS2 OnGuard
- Avigilon Unity Access
- Genetec Security Center
- Brivo
- Video surveillance platforms such as:
- Avigilon Unity Video
- Digital Watchdog
- iPro Systems
- Verkada Systems
