Job description

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is implementing Epic, and we're looking for an experienced Epic Cadence & Prelude Application Analyst to help design and optimize the technology that powers patient scheduling, registration, and access to care.

In this role, you'll collaborate with Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, clinical departments, and operational leaders to build efficient scheduling and registration workflows that improve patient access, streamline operations, and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information from the very first patient interaction.

Requirements:

  • Configure provider templates, appointment slot blocks, scheduling restrictions, and check-in workflows within Cadence
  • Build and maintain Prelude registration screens, address validation rules, and Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) electronic queries
  • Analyze scheduling and registration workflows to optimize patient access efficiency and minimize data entry errors
  • Build and manage administrative workqueues (WQs) to flag missing demographic fields, insurance errors, or scheduling conflicts
  • Develop and execute integrated testing plans alongside Professional Billing analysts to ensure unified patient-to-finance data flow

Requirements

Do you have experience in Test Planning (Quality assurance practices)?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Healthcare Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related technical or healthcare field required. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be substituted, with one (1) year of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of each year of required education.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience supporting healthcare information technology, electronic health records (EHR), patient access, scheduling, registration, revenue cycle, or enterprise healthcare applications required.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Epic Sphinx Assessment as part of the interview and selection process to be eligible for employment in this position.
  • Experience configuring, implementing, testing, supporting, or optimizing Epic Cadence, Prelude, or other patient access and scheduling applications strongly preferred. Experience supporting appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance eligibility verification, demographic management, provider scheduling, referral management, or front-end revenue cycle workflows preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ambulatory healthcare operations, patient access, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, revenue cycle processes, and healthcare technology best practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical and operational workflows, translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot application issues, and optimize system performance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with patient access, revenue cycle, clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in Cadence, Prelude, or assigned application(s) preferred.
  • Certification may be required based on the assigned application or role responsibilities.
  • Other clinical, technical, or professional certifications may be required based on assigned responsibilities.
  • Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and continuing education applicable to the position throughout employment.
