Job description
The IT Specialist is a hands-on, broad-scope role responsible for keeping our systems, infrastructure, and users running smoothly. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all things technology from end-user support and network maintenance to ERP deployment and security compliance. This position reports directly to the President/CEO.

- Maintain and monitor company networks, servers, and systems for performance and uptime
- Install, configure, and update PC hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Manage and maintain Cisco network equipment and wireless access points (including ceiling-mounted units in the warehouse)
- Maintain and troubleshoot uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems
- Monitor and renew security certificates; ensure ongoing compliance with security requirements
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures across all company systems
User Support & Access Management
- Serve as the primary helpdesk resource for all staff troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Manage user access and permissions across all internal applications and platforms
- Coordinate procurement and distribution of PC hardware and mobile devices (cell phone setup, deployment, and management)
- Deliver training to employees on systems, software, and IT processes
Systems & Applications
- Lead or support the implementation and ongoing administration of the company's ERP system
- Administer SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions; develop tools and workflows to optimize business processes
- Support warehouse management software and RF scanner operations
- Maintain and support the company's video/surveillance system
- Assist with database administration
- Participate in the development of an internal equipment inventory management system
Policy, Compliance & Documentation
- Develop and maintain IT policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support IT audits and coordinate responses to audit findings
- Prepare project status reports and document system configurations and changes
- Define hardware, software, and network requirements for new initiatives
- Identify and resolve project issues in coordination with leadership
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or 2+ years of equivalent hands-on IT experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users at all levels
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Willing and able to work at heights (some network access points are located on the warehouse ceiling)
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar)
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system experience
- Cisco networking knowledge and configuration experience
- iOS and Android device management
- Server support and administration
- RF scanner and industrial printer support
- Phone system configuration and maintenance
- Warehouse management software experience
- SharePoint administration
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate verbally
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or lift up to 50-75 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working at heights for access point installation and maintenance
