HireArt is helping our client find detail-oriented Software Release Engineer to join its team.
In this role, you'll support the software release process by validating software through hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation testing before deployment to vehicles. You'll work closely with engineering and vehicle operations teams to evaluate software quality, investigate regressions, and help ensure safe, reliable software releases.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with complex testing environments, simulation tools, and cross-functional engineering teams.
As a Software Release Engineer, you will:
- Execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation testing to validate software releases before in-vehicle testing.
- Support the development, curation, and evaluation of HIL driving scenarios, with an emphasis on night-run scenarios used to validate software releases.
- Provide technical support for vehicle-based validation testing to facilitate the rollout of pre-release software into new operational design domains (ODDs) and public roadways.
- Maintain and improve the HIL testing pipeline to support software release activities.
- Ensure release testing is completed successfully, review test results for accuracy, and coordinate with vehicle operations teams to support on-road testing.
- Identify software regressions against established thresholds and support regression investigations.
- Communicate testing results, failures, risks, and delays to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Travel domestically as needed.
