Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Operations and Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to support Northwest Anesthesia Physicians business operations. You'll be in an individual contributor role responsible for managing BI platforms, operational data systems, reporting infrastructure, and process improvement initiatives while providing broad operational and backup support across the organization.

The Operations and BI Manager serves as the organization's subject matter expert for data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, system optimization, and operational performance measurement. While this position does not have direct reports, it works closely with physician and administrative leaders to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys combining data analytics, technology, and hands-on operational support to help a private practice healthcare organization achieve its strategic and operational goals., Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of business intelligence platforms, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Manages Power BI Service administration workspaces, data gateway, and scheduled refreshes.
  • Design and deliver operational, financial, productivity, staffing, and performance reports for leadership and physician stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across clinical and administrative functions.
  • Transform data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and executive-level analytical requests.

Data Systems & Reporting Management

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and governance across multiple systems.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for BI and reporting platforms.
  • Coordinate data integration efforts between practice management, EMR, billing, staffing, and financial systems.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and system-related operational challenges.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes, system workflows, and data standards.

Operations Support & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate current workflows and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead operational improvement projects through process mapping, data analysis, and outcome measurement.
  • Support organizational growth initiatives through operational analysis and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and best practices.

Cross-Functional & Backup Support

  • Provide operational support to key administrative functions across the practice.
  • Serve as a backup resource for critical business operations during staff absences, high-volume periods, or organizational transitions.
  • Assist with vendor management, contract tracking, compliance monitoring, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to improve operational performance and solve complex business challenges.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Project management in technology?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business operations and analytics role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing BI solutions using Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and business systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification or equivalent business intelligence certification highly preferred.
  • Experience in medical billing and/or physician practice management.
  • Experience with your source systems of QGenda, Cognizant Connect, and QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements and healthcare operational metrics., * Business Operations and Analytics : 4 years (Required)
