Job description

Mark Enlow Inc. is a retained search firm assisting in the recruiting for this position. The client company will remain confidential during the initial screening process.

Our client designs, builds, owns, and operates distributed generation and microgrid systems used by data centers, healthcare facilities, utilities, logistics operators, manufacturers, government sites, and other customers that cannot afford power interruptions.

This role sits between customers, engineering, EPC, R&D, and product teams. You will help define the technical solution before a project moves into execution.

You will work on microgrid and distributed generation projects from early-stage design through proposal handoff. The work includes system architecture, equipment sizing, single-line diagrams, site layouts, technical scope, and customer-facing technical discussions.

What you'll do

You will:

  • Develop microgrid and distributed generation solutions for customer proposals
  • Create and review single-line diagrams, layouts, and low/medium-voltage system configurations
  • Size equipment and evaluate system architecture based on load, capacity, reliability, cost, constructability, and schedule
  • Join customer calls, site visits, whiteboarding sessions, and technical presentations
  • Translate customer requirements into practical electrical system designs
  • Prepare proposal technical content, including drawings, narratives, assumptions, and supporting documentation
  • Work with engineering, EPC, R&D, and product teams to confirm that proposed solutions can be built and operated
  • Review peer designs for quality, consistency, and technical accuracy

Requirements

Do you have experience in Low-voltage electrical systems?, * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience

  • Experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage power systems
  • Experience developing or interpreting single-line diagrams and electrical layouts
  • Ability to think at the system level, not only at the component level
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-engineers
  • Comfort working with customer requirements, project constraints, and tradeoffs

Experience that maps well

This role may fit engineers with 2-5+ years in one or more of these areas:

  • Power systems
  • Distributed generation
  • Microgrids
  • DER systems
  • Utility interconnection
  • Electrical equipment layout
  • Switchgear or interconnection systems
  • Power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, reliability, or coordination
  • Technical proposals, bids, or RFP support

Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PSCAD, PSS/E, MATLAB, or Simulink is useful but not required for every candidate.
