Job description
This position is based at our customer' s headquarters in Greenville, SC. and requires 3 days on-site.
What you will do:
Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
Partner with diverse functional groups to identify business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and support decision-making.
Design and conduct experiments to validate model performance and improve operational processes.
Monitor and maintain AI models in production, ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently.
Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of standard processes in data science and AI Ops.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Statistical analysis tools?, Do you have a Master's degree?, As an Agentic AI / Data Scientist (5+ years of experience), you will drive AI initiatives, using advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and improve decision-making. You will support the deployment of AI solutions across the organization, collaborate with multi-functional teams, and mentor junior data scientists to uphold our customer's commitment to innovation and excellence., Analytical mind and business savvy combined with problem-solving competence and communication skills.
5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI and machine learning applications.
Demonstrated ability in programming languages such as Python & PySpark, and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Previous experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn), data visualization tools and framework (e.g. PowerBI, Steamlit), and generative AI technologies (e.g. LLM, chatbot)
Experience building autonomous AI agents using frameworks (i.e. LangChain, LangGraph, MCP) to support reasoning and decision-making.
Over 5 years working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), big data technologies (e.g., Spark), and enabling tools (Kubernetes).
Bachelor's but preferable Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in problem-solving with complex datasets.
- Ability communicating technical concepts to non-technical partners.
- Examples of successful project management and collaboration in team-oriented environments.
- Previous experience mentoring and developing junior data scientists and analysts
