Job description
SR. Software Engineer (digital/eCommerce) for Retail Services & Systems, Inc dba Total Wine & More to work at our Boca Raton, FL loc. May telecommute 1 day/week.
Build reusable software components and performant services. Design, create, and support integrations of projects. Work with product owners, product managers, business stakeholders, and developers (incl. architecture, & backend engineers) to translate ideas into actionable technical requirements and clean, functional code. Work with a range of development languages, system architecture, and areas of business. Implement services using variety of messaging, data storage, and cloud technologies. Develop and update shared component libraries for quick iterations. Write performant, maintainable, and testable code. Mentor and coach mid-level and junior-level developers. Monitor, troubleshoot, ID, and resolve production issues.
May undergo background checks including drug screening.
Little national travel to company HQ may be involved not to exceed 60 days/year or 5 days/trip.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System maintenance?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Must have Bachelors in computer science, technology, business, or related field and 4 years relevant experience working with established production environments or Master's in computer science, technology, business, or related field and 2 years relevant experience working with established production environments.
Also requires skills (2 years exp) in: solution development using Python; using real-time stream processing and design patterns; relational and NoSQL databases; topic/consumer-based architecture utilizing Kafka or RabbitMQ; cloud-based architectural and maintenance concepts in GCP, Azure, or AWS; zero downtime deployments, continuous integrations and deployments.
