Job description

The Network Development Manager serves as the operational and relationship leader for the organization and is responsible for overseeing patient and referral coordination, partner relationships, network operations, analytics, and strategic growth initiatives.

This position acts as the primary liaison between participating physician practices, third-party administrators (TPAs), employers, healthcare facilities, and physician leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining existing partnerships, supporting network expansion, developing new business opportunities, and helping shape the future direction and branding of the organization.

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare professional who can work independently, exercise sound judgment, build strong business relationships, identify opportunities, and drive initiatives to completion while maintaining accountability to organizational leadership and managing members.

Primary Responsibilities

Network Development & Growth:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with TPAs, employers, facilities, and participating providers.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, including expansion of referral sources and network partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to increase program participation and referral volume.
  • Assist with branding, marketing, and business development efforts.
  • Support leadership in evaluating future growth opportunities and service expansion.

Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TPAs and network partners.
  • Foster strong working relationships with participating physicians and facilities.
  • Ensure a high level of responsiveness and service to all program stakeholders.
  • Support implementation and management of partnership agreements.

Patient & Referral Coordination:

  • Oversee referral intake, tracking, and coordination between participating providers and network partners.
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up throughout the referral process.
  • Monitor referral outcomes and maintain accurate program records.
  • Identify and resolve operational barriers impacting patient access and satisfaction.

Program Administration & Analytics:

  • Coordinate leadership, membership, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Prepare operational reports, program metrics, analytics, and presentations.
  • Analyze referral, utilization, and performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Assist with financial tracking, reconciliation, and physician distribution processes.
  • Collaborate with outsourced billing partners to support efficient revenue cycle operations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Project management in healthcare?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent healthcare management, network development, provider relations, business development, or healthcare operations experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible healthcare experience in healthcare administration, provider relations, physician practice management, healthcare operations, network development, business development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with physicians, healthcare executives, employers, facilities, TPAs, and external business partners.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications., * Experience working with TPAs, self-funded employer groups, healthcare networks, physician organizations, or specialty practices.
