Job description
We are seeking a Cryptography Security Engineer to join a highly specialized Digital Assets Security Engineering team responsible for building secure, scalable infrastructure supporting the future of institutional digital finance. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure cryptographic solutions, protecting digital asset custody platforms, and partnering with cryptographers to develop resilient, enterprise-grade security capabilities.
This role is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities:

Security Engineering: Design, develop, and implement secure software components supporting digital asset custody and cryptographic infrastructure

Cryptography Development: Partner with cryptographers to build secure custody solutions utilizing modern cryptographic protocols, MPC frameworks, and secure key management techniques

Threat Modeling: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across distributed systems, cryptographic workflows, and transaction processing environments

Secure Software Development: Develop security-focused applications using C/C++, Go, or Rust while following secure coding standards and protecting against common attack vectors

Blockchain Integration: Integrate with blockchain nodes and APIs while supporting transaction creation, signing, and secure communication across multiple blockchain networks

Security Reviews: Perform security-focused code reviews, vulnerability analysis, and testing to identify weaknesses in cryptographic implementations and application design

Infrastructure Security: Design secure storage solutions for encrypted key material, audit logs, and sensitive application data while supporting secure networking and communication between distributed services

Cloud & Platform Security: Support secure deployment architectures utilizing cloud technologies, containerized environments, trusted execution environments, and hardware security modules

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, security, and architecture teams to develop resilient security solutions that balance performance, scalability, and compliance
Requirements
Do you have experience in Threat Modeling (Architecture security)?, * Experience in secure software development and cryptography engineering

Proficiency developing applications using C/C++, Go, or Rust

Experience working with OpenSSL, MPC frameworks, or other cryptographic libraries

Strong understanding of threat modeling and secure application design

Experience implementing or supporting cryptographic protocols and secure key management

Experience integrating with blockchain nodes, APIs, and blockchain transaction formats

Familiarity with hardware security technologies including Intel SGX, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), or Trusted Execution
Environments

Knowledge of secure storage, databases, networking, and distributed systems

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field

Experience working with Multi-Party Computation (MPC) frameworks and digital asset custody platforms

Experience with cloud security, containerization, and secure deployment architectures

Familiarity with blockchain technologies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other distributed ledger platforms

Experience designing or reviewing cryptographic implementations for enterprise-scale applications

Experience working within highly secure, regulated financial technology environments
